El Beano Abridged
It is a matter of fact that in online sandbox games, someone must play the bad guy.
Within these hallowed pages, you will find the story of the infamous Mr Joo Joo Bean, Legendary Thief. Easily the most talented brigand to ever grace the shores of Brittania or Avadon. El Beano, or "Joo Joo" generally enjoys lifting valuable items from trammies packs, player killing, and generally being an entertaining nuisance. From the Great Lakes of Sosaria, to the FUD fields of the crypto world, one thing is for sure, Joo Joo always gets the upper hand.

A Story To Be Told

Anyone remember the Microsoft Gaming Zone? I sure as hell do, it was basically a matchmaker that was WAAAAY ahead of its time. It was web based, which thinking about it now is really mind blowing. You could find lobies for games like Jedi Knight II and Age of Empires. At any rate, they used to run ad's, and I stared at ads for this game called Ultima Online for what seemed like months. Finally one day a 14 year old me is in the mall and I convince my mother to purchase UO. I take it home, install it on my Pentium II, and fire up the launcher. After I'm sure 6+ hours of patching and downloading, a chest appears, opens, and I am greeted by a midi track that will forever be entrenched in the recesses of my mind. I make my first character, name him Sir FreezA *rolls eyes* and wander around Vesper for a few hours until I meet someone who was kind enough to show me the ropes. Even as a complete noob, scrolling through the skills gump, I found the "stealing" skill and tried to steal static items locked down on the counters of the shop keepers. However it wasn't until I moved on from Atlantic until I would find my true calling as a thief.

Lag has always been a problem in games. However these kids these days will never know the pain of playing on a 33.6k dial-up modem. When I hear kids complain about lag in lobbies I just laugh and shake my head. Anyway, around this time UO was becoming very popular, seeing huge influx in populations. And while I was in the central time-zone, I was playing a server located on the east coast. So I did what was needed and sorted the server list by ping and ended up picking Great Lakes as my new home. I did not start as I had before, by selecting a warrior, no this time I started with a custom tempalte, 50 resist, 50 stealing. Named my new character Mr Joo Joo Bean, and selected Moonglow as my starting city. I knew from the very start that this shard was different. Atlantic has always been known for its PvP scene, its rich history and events, Great Lakes on the other hand, well, its always been known for the obscene amount of fuckery and the dickheads that populated it. I was very happy to call this place home. I managed to get a gate from Paupa to Delucia, where I hired a paladin NPC and GM'd my tactics, fencing, and snooping. Killed some skeletons at the local graveyard and saved up for a packhorse so I could start training in the dark arts, honing my craft of light handed pack carousing.
